NORTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT

Been a busy few days this week with lots of boats out.  Fishing has been really good on upper sections of the river.  The clarity of the river is starting to improve but has less than a foot of visibility below Sechrist.  A nymph rig set up from 3 to 6ft with an AB or… Continue reading NORTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT

PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT

Well the river is taking its sweet time clearing up.  It appears that the river is somewhat fishable all the way to Sechrist.  Below that it is still fairly off color.  With that being said we have been greeted with our first frost of the year!  Fishing has been really good with nymphing being the… Continue reading PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT

FLY FISHING THE NORTH PLATTE- FISHING REPORT

Another weekend is behind us and one week closer to fall!  The reports coming back said that the fishing was great.  Big bugs were the ticket.  Crawdads, leeches and worms seemed to be the top producers.  Flows are holding steady at 1,250 and should continue to drop as September arrives.

Well, with the start of October the wind had reared its ugly head once again!  Today was not that bad compared to Monday.  With that said watch the dreaded W report because it is worth getting out.  Mark landed this nice Brown on the upper section today.  Also landed some nice rainbows and lost a… Continue reading GREY REEF FISHING REPORT

FISHING UPDATE FOR THE GREY REEF AND MIRACLE MILE

The flows are holding steady at 750 cfs as of right now but are certainly subject to change.  Fishing for our guides yesterday was lights out as they put it.  Sarah’s clients landed two good browns yesterday one of which eclipsed the 24 inch mark which made to the net but did not stay around… Continue reading FISHING UPDATE FOR THE GREY REEF AND MIRACLE MILE

PLATTE RIVER FISHING UPDATE

Well the Bureau of Rec dropped the Reef down to 750cfs and the Mile is at 760 cfs.  We have a few boats out today and we will give you an update when we here back from them.

NORTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT

Well we received a pretty substantial rain storm last night that had everyone on edge as there were many flash flood warnings.  Given the situation we certainly welcomed the much needed moisture.  Unfortunately this has caused the lower parts of the river to be rather muddy.  This should clear fairly quick with the warmer temps… Continue reading NORTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT
