Well just when things looked like they were going to clean up we were greeted again with another big storm that blew the river out from Grey Reef Afterbay all the way down. Before the storm hit we had boats spread out from the Mile all the way down.
Nymphing was the top producer in the morning with leeches and scuds on the menu and mini rigs with baetis stuff in the afternoons. If and when the river cleans up we should start to see some great dry fly opportunities with BWO’s.
With the river in the current shape that it is in why not come and take advantage of guided pheasant or waterfowl hunt? We have several heated duck blinds and plenty of fresh birds in with all the storms that have passed through. Give us call and book today!
