It looks like we will have a long winter this year, so come on down to Ugly Bug Fly Shop and get geared up for cold-weather fishing! The brown trout are not yet running up the Miracle Mile in full force. A few browns have been reported, but with the weather we have been receiving we should start seeing better numbers in the coming days and weeks.
Midges and baetis have been the most productive bugs, with worm patterns and leeches also catching fish.
- Midges (Pal, MacGruber, Mayhem) #18-20
- RS2 #18-20 (chocolate, gray)

- Barr’s BWO emerger #16-20
- Darth Baetis #18-20
Streamer fishing has been a little slow, but should start to pick up as we see more brown trout moving into the river.

Fly fishing quote of the week:
“Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains. “
