NORTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT AUGUST 2016

Fishing report August 2016:

As August kicks off not a whole lot has changed. Currently at the Reef, flows continue to hold a 2500 CFS and there is still plenty of moss. In the early morning and late evening, when the sun isn’t beating down is when the fishing has been producing the most consistently. The afternoon heat has been hit or miss as of late. For leaders, the key is to have a little shorter (5-6ft) a No 1 or BB weight. Try to clean bugs regularly as well. Get out there and catch some fish!
