NORTH PLATTE FISHING REPORTS FOR GREY REEF JULY 2016

WYOMING FLY FISHING

Fishing Report July 2016:

As the water levels are slowly receding and the temperatures are rising, moss is more and more prevalent. The current water flow is just under 2500 cfs and fishing is slowing down a bit, but don’t let that stop you from getting out there. Fishing is definitely best in the morning right now. Remember to look for those faster runs and keep those flies clean of moss. A nymph rig of 4-5ft to an AB weight seems to be working out there. Bugs to consider are some basic Macgrubers, Black Mayhem, Mayhem PMD’s, Mayhem BWO, foam post RS2’s, and Mitchell’s split-case PMD’s.

And off the water we have a lot of new inventory in the shop. We just received about a dozen new hats half of which feature a bison! We also have t shirts and other great gear from simms. Stop in and check it out today!
