Grey Reef and Miracle Mile
The Reef was bumped this week to 2000 CFS. The Mile went to 1200 CFS. The fishing has remained consistently good. Heavy on the rock worms, San Juans, squirmies, and leeches. Blue Wing Olives are showing up, mixing these in with the worms/ leeches has been the go to. Some productive patterns include Little Green Machines, Darth Baetis, Splitback BWO, and McGrubers to name a few. As we progress, things will continue to get a little more “buggy”.
Fremont Canyon
Freemont is at 84 CFS. It has been fishing pretty darn good as well. Have some midges and BWO patterns. There have been some fish up and working higher in the water column. Look towards leeches and rock worms to fill the rest of your rig.
Keep in Mind
Please be mindful of the spawning trout. As fish leave the beds, still refrain from walking on them. Those eggs need to incubate and do their thing. Wading on the beds is incredibly destructive and diminishes productivity. We are shooting ourselves in the foot and hurting the future. The closure on the Reef between the cables continues to end of April.
