Fishing Report 08/28/2024

To start, we’d like to thank you for voting us Casper’s Best Fly Shop! The support from our customers and the community means so  much to us. Here’s to many more years of serving the anglers of Casper and beyond!

Fall fishing is right around the corner! The Grey Reef has dropped 2300 CFS and is still pretty mossy but pulling fish out none the less. Fishing is pretty simple right now after the drop… leeches, worms, crawdads.

Fremont Canyon is finally back to normal operating flows of 80 CFS, so for those of you looking for a spot to wade fish the Canyon is it. Caddis, worms and small Zirdle bugs are fishing well.

The Miracle Mile dropped to 800 CFS which we are super excited about, again after a big drop like that, leeches, worms and Zirdle bugs will work well up there. Maybe some caddis or trico’s as well. Haven’t seen any action on the surface quite yet in the season.
