Fall fishing is right around the corner and we have everything you need to get prepared for one of our favorite times of year.
Once the water levels drop, and things cool down, the game changes a bunch around here. We get back to throwing big streamers, might see some fish coming up to the surface, and the browns become more aggressive. The fall is one of the most diverse times to fish the Grey Reef and the Miracle Mile. Wanna throw a Dungeon? Go for it. See a trico hatch up ahead? Try em out. Historically the Grey Reef, Miracle Mile and the Big Horn fish well during the fall which gives you a ton of flexibility when planning a trip.
Streamers, line, rods and apparel… we have all the gear to get you set up for a fall trip to Wyoming.
Here are some of our fall favorites:
The conventional wisdom in fly fishing is that there’s no such thing as a “do it all” freshwater line. We have something to say about that. The Amplitude Smooth Infinity has the power to bomb out streamers, yet retains delicacy for dry flies. It mends like an absolute dream, and delivers flies at all distances. Built a half-size heavy, with a long head and substantial front taper, it’s perfect for everything from trout and panfish to pike and steelhead. There’s a reason we call it the Infinity: there is no end to what you’ll be able to do with it.
This is the new Helios, 4X more accurate than its predecessor, which is tested and proven to be the previous industry benchmark for accuracy. To cast Helios is to discover how it feels to set your cast on autopilot to achieve pinpoint accuracy, whether you’re making a tight quarters shot or a long-distance call. Available in both Distance and Finesse actions, Helios is the most advanced fly rod ever conceived, and the culmination of nearly two decades of constant progression. Pushing accuracy into the realm of total intuition, it represents the industry’s biggest leap forward to date. The new Helios is where accuracy comes alive in a way you’ve never thought possible.
