2022 FLUSHING FLOW?

2022 FLUSHING FLOW?

A statement released by the Bureau of Reclamation promises low flow rates for the rest of 2021.

This decision remains directly proportionate to 2021 drought conditions. These uncharacteristically low inflows, caused by lack of water upstream, will dictate next year’s water release in general, which undoubtedly includes our beloved spring flush.

According to the news release, current low winter flows of 450cfs will increase the likelihood of providing a 2022 flush. However, the Bureau of Rec stated, “if requested by the Wyoming Game and Fish.”

Proactively altering flows helps ensure  irrigation and power generation to countless acres and homes. Not to mention its added benefit to water recreation.
