The Wyoming Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation has announced that February snowfall forecast will be above average, with April- July runoff above Glendo Dam to be 980,000 acre feet, putting it at 108% of the 30-year average. The conservation capacity of the North Platte Reservoir System is at 111% of the 30-year average.
This is good news for us fishermen, as last year’s snowpack was below average. Good snowpack means consistent water levels and temperatures, which is good for trout, and we all love trout.
