GREY REEF FISHING REPORT 11/29/18

Current CFS.

The Grey Reef is at 500 CFS.
The Miracle Mile is at 555 CFS
Fremont Canyon is at 520 CFS

Streamers, midges and eggs are taking fish. The Miracle Mile is fishing very well, especially for those throwing streamers.

Watch out for redds! We all love catching browns, but if a fish is pulled of a redd, or if a redd is disturbed, even a single one, many brown trout will never hatch. Respect the trout. Fish where they feed, not where they breed.

Nymphing:

Midges, Caddis and BWOs are top choices for nymphing.

Recommended Flies:

Midges (Pal, McGrubber, Mayhem) Size 18-20
RS2 Size 18-20
Poxy Back Baetis 18-20
Split case BWO 18-20
Jujubee Midge 18-20
Bird’s Nest Caddis 14-16
Trout Beads
Egg Patterns

Streamer Fishing:

This is some of the best streamer fishing of the year. Give the meat a try.
