We hope everyone is enjoying their winter season and hopefully some of you have managed to get on the water despite the weather. With Spring around the corner, means Spring fishing is as as well. Many positive changes have been taking place here at the Ugly Bug Fly Shop and Crazy Rainbow Fly Fishing. Among these changes is our new website for shopping! Fly tying information:
Fly tying is in full swing and we would love to see you all come down to the Ugly Bug on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. The shop is all stocked up on any materials for fly tying. We also have some great new vises and tying tools to check out. The new favorite for fly-tyers seems to be the “do-it-all” Stonfo Transformer Vise. The Transformer is machined with a coupling device on its shaft making for an effortless transformation between a tube-fly vise, in-line vise, and a streamer vise. Three vises in one! This vise is equipped with interchangeable jaws, adjustable rotary tension, smooth rotary motion, locking position at any angle, shaft fast locking every 45° angle, adjustable height, reversible for left hand tying- plus a number of accessories. Crazy Rainbow Fly Fishing offers off-season rates through the end of March and spring is booking up really fast. Now would be a great time to book for either to ensure you get the days and guides you want.
Fishing Conditions:
Current fishing conditions are good, as fish as still eating. An ideal rig set-up would be about 6’ to an AB weight. Patterns that a working well include midges, annelids, and natural leech patterns.
