Well here we are again with cold temps and much more needed snow. Needless to say our trips today have decided to not brave the elements and enjoy the weather from inside. We have had a very busy weekend with most reports coming back as great fishing. From the sounds of it the fishing was slower yesterday with warmer weather causing some discoloration in the river. Bigger bugs seem to be the ticket right now. Red rock worms, eggs, leeches and san juans seem to be hot bugs.
Blake Jackson was up in Missoula, MT this last week attending the Orvis Guide Rendezvous. It sounded like a great turnout and the key note
speaker Hank Patterson was there with crazy Reese providing new “Snap It” techniques for everyone in attendance. The rod guru’s from Orvis were also there to show the breaking strength of the new Helios 2. Helios 2 Break Strength Video.
While Blake was on his way up he also stopped in Bozeman, MT and picked up his new drift boat from RO Boats, called the RO Camino .This is
brand new boat from RO that is based off a skiff design. It appears that Blake has already broke the boat the right way judging by the pics I received. This looks like a pretty awesome boat by looking at the
pictures and as soon as he gets back we hope to have some more pictures and information as well.
