Fishing Report 06/03/2026

Summer fishing has been treating us well.

Things have been fishing great lately, and one of the coolest things we’re seeing is fish looking up. Grey Reef isn’t typically known for its dry fly opportunities, so it’s always exciting when trout start showing interest. While nymphing continues to produce the most results, those keeping an eye out for risers have been rewarded with some fun dry fly opportunity.

Flows remain steady with both Grey Reef and the Miracle Mile holding at 500 CFS, while Fremont Canyon continues to run at its typical 75 CFS. Across all three stretches, we are seeing PMDs and  caddis consistently. Yellow Sallies are coming off during the late afternoon hours. We are starting to see some Trico action in the morning hours.

As temperatures continue to climb, we have adjusted our start times to 6:30 AM and are focusing our fishing efforts on the upper portions of the system closest to the dam. These areas are currently providing the coldest, cleanest water and the best conditions for both fish and anglers. If you’re heading out on your own, consider fishing early, keeping fish handling to a minimum, and staying as high in the system as possible where water temperatures remain cooler

We foresee a bump in flows soon, but we are still waiting on that call for water. We will update when that day comes. Tight lines.
