Happy New Year! We hope you had a happy holiday season. We thank you for your business and support in 2024, and we look forward to this coming season. We have a few events on the docket for this year. Here are a few things to look forward to:
Tie One On Tuesdays
Tying season is here! We are stoked that Tie One On Tuesdays are back. Starting on Tuesday, January 7th, we will be hosting tying classes at Frontier Brewing from 6 PM – 9 PM. Weather you’re a seasoned tyer or looking to learn, we have something for you! We will be offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes every Tuesday. If you have you’re own vice and tools, feel free to bring them! If not, we have you covered. We will be selling material bags for $10. There will also be open tyers tying up their season stock if you would like to tie your own patterns with some company. We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
Super Bowl Special
We are running our second annual Super Bowl Special this year! On Sunday, February 9th, we will be offering a discounted half day. The half day will run from 9AM to 1PM for $400 per boat. This gives you plenty of time to do a little fishing and still make your Super Bowl party. Grab a buddy and get out there! We are taking Super Bowl Special bookings now. Ugly Bugs and Crazy Ladies
The girls have been waiting for this one! We are excited for our 6th annual UBCL. We will be offering two sections: 101 and 201. Our 101s are going to be offered on July 10th – 12th and August 8th – 10th. The 101 is a beginner level course. This course is meant to be a low pressure, high energy introduction into the sport of fly fishing. The 101 is two evenings and one full day. Evening one we cover the basics of casting. From there, we head back to the fly shop and talk conservation. Evening two, we touch on entomology and get to tying some North Platte specific flies. Day 3 is a full day guided float trip on the North Platte.
Our 201 will be held October 17th – 19th. The 201 is an intermediate level course. We hope to touch on more independent fly fishing. The 201 is one evening, one half day, and one full day. Evening one we hit more in-depth entomology and bug selection before sitting down at the vices. The next day is a half day walk and wade trip where we talk rig set up and water reading. The final day is a full day guided float trip on the Miracle Mile. Call the shop to grab your spot today!
