Grey Reef:
Flows- 998 CFS
Fishing Report-
Fishing is productive throughout the reef. Waters temps are at 51 degrees perfect for active and hungry fish. Floating moss and algae are also present if you are having problems staying out of it try different rig setups and focus on that. With cooling temperatures the moss should hopefully start to cut back. Water is also lower than normal operational flows but shouldn’t cause any problems. For flies look at using caddis patterns like birds nest/hares ear, purple or wine worms, and mayhems.
Miracle Mile:
Flows- 1,403 CFS
Fishing Report-
The Mile is fishing has been fishing well flows are optimal and water temps are at 50 degrees. Worms and caddis have been most productive throughout the area. Look at using hares ear and birds nest size 16-18. There has also been luck on crawdads so give them a try if you are looking to head out. Caddis are by far fishing the best so play around with different patterns until you find something that works!
Fremont Canyon:
Flows- 82 CFS
Fishing Report-
We are hearing positive reports in the Canyon. Flows are at operational levels and despite murky off color water fishing is still great! Caddis, RS2’s in the afternoon and brown/black leeches have been most productive on the nymph rig. Copper johns and rock worms are also working well including dry’s so keep an eye out for any hatches. If you are debating on what parts to fish the faster sections of water seem to be fishing the best.
The Big Horn:
Flows- 1,303 CFS
Fishing Report-
The Big Horn has been fishing very well. Hoppers have been fishing well on the edges towards the afternoon and tricos in the mornings. Olive scuds are also doing well. Streamers have also been productive but tough with floating moss throughout the river. Hares ear patterns and bird nest have been doing well much like the mile and reef.
