North Platte River Report 2/8/2023

Includes information on the Big Horn, The Grey Reef, and The Miracle Mile

We are most impressed with how the Big Horn is fishing right now. Midges are the name of the game. The smaller the size, the better. We are also impressed with how it is streamer fishing. The Mile road is a little bit better, but we recommend that you still use caution while traveling. Keep focusing on deep water and tail outs. The Mile has been fishing well on the streamer, and midges are productive on this stretch as well. Midges in black or olive have been fishing best. The Reef is fishing simple- leeches, worms, and scuds will do the trick. The Reef ramp is open to Government Bridge. There is no fly tying this Tuesday given that it is Valentine’s Day. Enjoy your day, and we will catch up with tying next week!
