NO SPRING FLUSH GREY REEF 2021

Repeat: No Spring Flush

No spring flush Grey Reef 2021! You heard us right, no spring flush. Due to already high water levels in Glendo Reservoir and because of concern for dam damage, Grey Reef will not see a flush.

What does this mean? Rainbow trout will still spawn; however, sediment accumulation from the last year will be greater. In instances of heavy rainfall and run off, we may see higher levels of sediment when the river blows out.

This might be a great time to mention that redds should be avoided while fishing this time of year. Allow their efforts to be fruitful by not targeting spawning trout! Please, stay off the redds.
