Just a reminder the Flush will begin March 29th (Friday) and will last 10 days until the following Sunday. There is some dirty water around due to melting snow and some access roads may be a bit muddy.
Nymphing:
Beads, leeches midges and annelids have been all productive. Once the Flush starts bigger crayfish and stonefly patterns will be effective.
Recommended Flies:
- Midges (Pal, MacGruber, Mayhem) #18-20
- RS2 #18-20
- Jujubee Midge #18-20
- Trout Beads
- Egg Patterns
- Rock Worm #14-18
- Squirrel Leech
- San Juan Worm
- Flashback Scud orange, olive, grey #12-14
- Zirdle Bug #12-4
- Crayfish patterns
- Pat’s Rubber Legs #10-6
Streamer Fishing:
Streamers have been working well, and the dirty water, coupled with the Flush may produce some days with good streamer conditions.
Recommended Streamers:
- Rusty Trombone #4-8
- Articulated Goldie #4
- Articulated Ditch Witch Tan
- Bob’s Silver Bugger
- Wooly Bugger Brown #6-10
