Finally!! The rain/snow mix for the last month has slowed down! With the last few days of clear weather the river has cleared up nicely. Been out the last few days and fishing is getting better all the time, and with the weather looking clear for the rest of the week it should get even better! Took a father and son(s), one in Blake’s boat, today and had a great day. Steady action all day and lots of fat nice fish to the net made for a great day.
Reese is 10 and landed some great fish and is a great caster, had to rain him in on a few casts even! Long time client who has fished all over the Montana still can’t believe how many healthy fish this river system has. Had a great time with lots of laughs, even with a cold start to the day.
With the temperatures dipping into the 30’s at night the mornings are a little chilly. Still patches of moss here and there, but big sections are breaking loose and moving down and not effecting the drift too bad. Leeches are still the ticket with some BWO eats also. So if your needing some relief from work or school book a trip and take a break!
