Quick Report 09/03/2026

Not gonna lie, we’re pretty stoked to flip the calendar to September. Cooler nights are rolling in. Those cooler nights matter. With both Grey Reef and the Miracle Mile holding at 500 CFS, every degree helps. The cooler weather should keep conditions moving in the right direction as we transition toward fall.

The fishing report looks pretty similar across Grey Reef, the Miracle Mile, and Fremont Canyon. Recent precipitation has made protein-heavy patterns an easy choice. Leeches and worms continue to produce fish throughout the system. The hatch game remains straightforward. Tricos get things rolling in the morning. Caddis take over as the day progresses. We are even starting to see some PMDs again as water temperatures cool slightly. Fremont Canyon remains at its usual 75 CFS and offers another solid option after precipitation.

While cooler temperatures sit on the horizon, don’t completely let your guard down yet. Continue to pay attention to water temperatures during the warmest part of the day. Fish early when possible and take advantage of those cool mornings.

Fall is coming. Until then, we will soak in the rest of summer.
