Hey folks. In light of the recent Seminoe Project (SPSP), we know the community has been working hard to oppose this project. With this, there has been interest as to how our voices can be best heard. Camo at the Capitol event is a good way to learn more about the process and how to make your voice most effective.
It has been really interesting and educational diving into all the aspects of a project like this. It can often feel overwhelming speaking up for a watershed and landscape we hold near and dear. There is A LOT to follow. What channels and agencies are involved, and how to appropriately, professionally and efficiently state your thoughts can be confusing. Effectively and efficiently following the process itself can also be tricky with so many moving parts. Rants on social media might be an easy feel-good way, but at the end of the day it doesn’t always help. Knowing the actual chains of permitting and steps that are followed to “yay” or “nay” a project, rule change, or law is important.
The Wyoming Wildlife Federation is hosting a “Camo at the Capitol” on February 12th. As sated on the Wyoming Wildlife Federation’s website, the goal of this event is to “Bring hunters and anglers together and build an effective and informed advocacy voice”. Come on down, show your support and learn how to be an effective voice to protect what is important to the sportsmen and women of Wyoming.
