The weather is cooling down and the fishing is heating up. It is no secret we love ourselves some fall fishing. Given the warmer temperatures we have been experiencing, we have been sticking to the tried and true nymph rig around here. Caddis, tricos, leeches, and worms have been the go to recipe. On that note, the warmer temperatures have also extended our dry fly season. Though dry fly fishing is not incredibly consistent, we have had luck on dry droppers- a hardy caddis dry with a trico dropper has been a great set up for the Reef. We are pleased with how the Mile is fishing currently, but we foresee cooler temperatures in the coming weeks will make it even better. Colder weather will bring more movement and more opportunity for streamer fishing.
On the note of warmer temperatures, this may be a great time to think about taking advantage of our off season rates. A mild November could bring great opportunity for big fish. Starting November 1st, all full days will be discounted by $100. Off season rates for on season weather- you can’t beat that!
