FISHING REPORT FOR GREY REEF MAY 24TH, 2017

grey reef brown trout

Fishing Report May 24th, 2017:

Currently, fishing conditions are good. As far as bugs, they are very similar to last week. This week, we are still seeing blue-wing patterns as well. With that, rising temperatures will result in snow melt, which will raise river flows. However, no estimates on numbers have been given.

Recommended Flies:

  • Gray foam post RS2
  • Purple MacGruber – glass bead and foam back
  • Chocolate emergers
  • Batwing emergers
  • Black mayhem midge

Streamer Update:

Fishing streamers in the lower part of the river has been solid lately. Olive and gold have been very consistent colors.

Current flows:

  • Reef: 2000CFS
  • Mile: 1500CFS
  • Fremont: 80CFS
