Fishing Report for September 16, 2016: Here we are smack dab in the middle of September already! The early fall fishing report as of late has certainly not disappointed. We are now sitting at our winter flow of 500 cfs. Cool temps and great water conditions have helped the fishing. The dry fly fishing as of late has been very consistent with steady hatches of tricos, pseudos, baetis, and caddis. If the hatches are not there, a nymph rig set up anywhere from 3-ft with a #1 or BB weight seems to be the ticket. The baetis activity has been great in the afternoons. Try shortening your rig and going lighter weight to find the larger suspended fish. The extended forecast looks great, which should equal some great fishing. The nice weather will not be here for long!
