Thursday Nights at the Bug Starting Tomorrow!
That’s right, fly tying is back! The cold winter months are an excellent time to tie your favorite spring and summer flies. Each year, tiers from around the area meet here to tell fish stories and tie bugs.
Thursday night fly tying
will be led by Blake Jackson and he’s ready to coach. Each week brings new opportunities and you should count on learning new distinct patterns and old trusty ones, too. And as always, you’re welcome to come down and tie whatever you like in the company of fellow anglers. We’re hoping to have some guest tiers this year and maybe even team up with a local brewery (COVID regulations permitting). Tomorrow you will learn how to tie a streamer- so be ready to learn, laugh, and simply have some fun! Just show up and we will handle the rest. No need to be an expert and no need to have all the latest gadgets. The Ugly Bug has you covered.

WHAT TO BRING Vises, tools, and materials if you have them. We have a limited number of loaners that you’re welcome to use and encourage you to come early if you need a vise.
