219154_10150164442896226_4511602_oNext, wade fishing has been difficult with the water running so high. Next, please use extreme caution when wading! Next, mid morning and afternoon dry flying with midges has been productive. Furthermore, baetis have been a strong option. By the same token, small buggers and nymph rigs through some of the deeper runs has been very productive.

Locally Effective Fly Patterns:

  • Rock worm 12-18 (red)
  • Griffiths gnat 16-18
  • Pine squirrel leech 10 (brown, black)
  • Mohair leech 10 (black, Canadian brown)
  • Scuds 12-16 (olive/gray, orange, gray/purple)
  • Hunchback scud 12-14 (orange, olive/red, tan)
  • Mini Sculpin 10 (burnt orange, black, natural)
  • Tailwater tiny 18-22 (black, olive)
River Level/Conditions: 3,000 cfs
Hatches: Midges
