The fishing is very good year around on the Big Horn. Consistent hatches of Midges, Blue Wings, Tricos, and Caddis are common. The Streamer fishing on the Big Horn can be very solid with the Big Horn holding a larger number of Brown Trout compared to the North Platte River.
At the end of the canyon the Wind River widens out in an area called the Wedding of the Waters where it becomes the Bighorn River and enters the Bighorn Basin. This can be a little confusing because this is one river with two names.
We begin our fishing adventure at Wedding of the waters and float through the town of Thermopolis, home of the world largest hot springs.
